Dear Member

As you will be aware, we have suggested an additional £20 donation (eg. Non Playing member 12/13 fee is £85 ie. £65 + £20= £85) to accompany your membership fees this year in an attempt to build up reserves and ensure that Ballyclare Rugby Football Club is sustainable in the long term.

By filling in the form found in the Membership Section, Ballyclare RFC will be able to claim an additional 25% back from HMRC on any donation which you make to Ballyclare RFC (registered CASC 04077). As long as you have paid the equivalent of the claim in tax (ie. If you donate £1, we will claim 25p and you must have paid 25p in tax to HMRC in this financial year), we will be able to claim 25% extra on your donation.

Please tick the third box on the attached form to allow us to claim GiftAid on any previous, and future donations. Complete the personal details in full, and sign the declaration.

IRFU: ZERO TOLERANCE FOR ABUSE OF OFFICIALS

Please note that an initiative by the IRFU to stamp out all abuse on and around all rugby grounds is fully supported by the Committee at Ballyclare RFC.

In a letter to all clubs in Ireland reference was made to the increase in abusive situations, particularly against match officials.

Club Chairman Alister Lindsay commented,
"It's a welcome return to old values and we at Ballyclare should do all we can to assist the IRFU in its work."

The IRFU letter warned of sanctions, including bans and heavy fines to be levied against members and their clubs when instances of abuse of officials were clearly proven
